Arja van Leeuwen – Website Design
I was asked to design a unique and minimalistic website that captures the playful and vibrant spirit of Arja van Leeuwen’s art. Inspired by her abstract oil-on-canvas works, the design highlights the joy of paint, texture, and movement, creating an elegant digital space that reflects her artistic world. The website serves as a selection of artworks from the archive of 50–100 paintings from Arja’s collection (1955–2022), now lovingly managed by her daughter, Charleen. My approach focused on balancing minimal structure with artistic expression, allowing each piece to take center stage while creating an immersive, gallery-like experience.
